The necessary procedures (adjustment, calibration, initialization, or registration) that must be performed after parts are removed, installed, or replaced during the airbag sensor assembly removal/installation are shown below.

HINT:
When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the auxiliary battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.

After turning the ignition switch off, waiting time may be required before disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

2. DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

3. REMOVE REAR CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

4. DISCONNECT FRONT FLOOR CARPET ASSEMBLY
(a) Remove the 2 clips.
(b) Disengage the hooks to disconnect the front floor carpet assembly as shown in the illustration.

5. REMOVE AIRBAG SENSOR ASSEMBLY
(a) Check that the ignition switch is off.
(b) Check that the cable is disconnected from the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.
CAUTION:
(c) Pull out the 2 connectors with its connector lock pushed to disconnect the 2 connectors.
NOTICE:
When disconnecting any airbag connector, take care not to damage the airbag wire harness.

(d) Remove the 3 bolts and airbag sensor assembly. NOTICE: If the airbag sensor assembly has been dropped, or there are any cracks, dents or other defects in the case or connector, replace the airbag sensor assembly with a new one. | |
Before refueling, close all the doors, windows, and the liftgate/trunk lid, and switch the ignition OFF.
To open the fuel-filler lid, pull the remote fuel-filler lid release.To remove the fuel-filler cap, turn it counterclockwise. Attach the removed cap to the inner side of the fuel-filler lid.
