Toyota Yaris: Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly / Installation

INSTALLATION

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine compartment.

(b) Engage the grommet.

(c) Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to the clamps.

2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Connect the hood lock control cable assembly to install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

(b) Engage the guide.

3. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

4. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

5. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the hood lock assembly.

(b) Engage the guide to connect the hood lock control cable assembly.

(c) Install the hood lock assembly with the 3 bolts. Torque: 11.5 N·m {117 kgf·cm, 8 ft·lbf}

(d) w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch:

(1) Engage the gude and clamps.

(2) Connect the connector.

6. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for front fender liner RH.

8. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

9. INSPECT HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY

10. ADJUST HOOD SUB-ASSEMBLY
