Toyota Yaris: Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly / Removal

REMOVAL

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE FRONT BUMPER ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE RADIATOR UPPER AIR GUIDE PLATE

3. REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH

HINT:

Use the same procedure as for front fender liner RH.

4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY

(a) w/ Engine Hood Courtesy Switch:

(1) Disconnect the connector.

*a Clamp *b guide

(2) Disengage the clamps and guide.

(b) Remove the 3 bolts.

(c) Disengage the guide to disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly, and remove the hood lock assembly.

5. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

6. DISCONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

7. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY

(a) Disengage the guide.

(b) Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly to remove the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

8. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

(a) Disconnect the hood lock control cable assembly from the clamps.

(b) Disengage the grommet.

(c) Pull the hood lock control cable assembly from the engine compartment to remove it.
