ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

2. INSPECT MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL

(a) Remove the manual transmission filler plug and gasket.

(b) Check that the oil level is between 0 and 5 mm (0.197 in.) from the bottom lip of the manual transmission filler plug opening.

NOTICE:

An excessively large or small amount of manual transaxle oil may cause problems.

(c) Check for oil leakage when the oil level is low.

(d) Install a new gasket and the manual transmission filler plug.

Torque:

39.2 N·m {400 kgf·cm, 29 ft·lbf}
