INSTALLATION

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

NOTICE:

After performing the ECU configuration procedure and update ECU security key procedure, make sure to perform the initialization procedure for when the cable has been disconnected and reconnected to the negative (-) auxiliary battery terminal.

PROCEDURE

1. INSTALL NO. 1 ECM BRACKET

(a) Install the No. 1 ECM bracket to the ECM with the screw.

Torque:

5.25 N·m {54 kgf·cm, 4 ft·lbf}

2. INSTALL NO. 2 ECM BRACKET

(a) Install the No. 2 ECM bracket to the ECM with the 2 screws.

Torque:

5.25 N·m {54 kgf·cm, 4 ft·lbf}

3. INSTALL ECM

(a) Install the bolt and nut.

Torque:

8.0 N·m {82 kgf·cm, 6 ft·lbf}

(b) Engage the clamp.

(c) Connect the 3 ECM connectors and lower the 3 lock levers.

NOTICE:

  • When connecting the ECM connectors, make sure that dirt, water or other foreign matter does not contact the connecting parts of the ECM connectors.
  • Be sure to securely connect the ECM connectors.

4. INSTALL AIR CLEANER CASE SUB-ASSEMBLY

5. INSTALL NO. 1 AIR CLEANER HOSE

7. CONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

8. INITIALIZATION AFTER RECONNECTING AUXILIARY BATTERY TERMINAL

HINT:

When disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, there is an automatic learning function that completes learning when the respective system is used.
