INSPECTION
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY
(a) Check that there is no excessive play in the radial direction of the outboard joint. | |
(b) Check that the inboard joint slides smoothly in the thrust direction.
(c) Check that there is no excessive play in the radial direction of the inboard joint.
(d) Check the boots for damage.
(e) Check whether each drive shaft dimension (A) is within specification. Dimension (A): for LH Side | 584.2 to 594.2 mm (1.92 to 1.95 ft.) | for RH Side | 864.4 to 874.4 mm (2.84 to 2.87 ft.) | NOTICE: Keep the drive shaft assembly level during inspection. |

When using a vise, place aluminum plates between the part and vise.

The grips on the left and right of
the steering wheel can be warmed
up.
The ignition must be switched ON.
Press the switch to turn on the heated steering wheel. The heated steering
wheel operates for about 30 minutes and then turns off automatically...
