REMOVAL

CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT

HINT:

When the cable is disconnected / reconnected to the auxiliary battery terminal, systems temporarily stop operating. However, each system has a function that completes learning the first time the system is used.

    Lane tracing assist system

    Drive the vehicle straight ahead at 35 km/h (22 mph) or more for 5 second or more.

    Pre-collision system

    Stop and start system

    Drive the vehicle until stop and start control is permitted (approximately 5 to 60 minutes)

  • Learning completes when vehicle is operated normally

    • Back door opener

    Perform door unlock operation with door control switch or electrical key transmitter sub-assembly switch.

PROCEDURE

1. REMOVE BRAKE BOOSTER ASSEMBLY

2. DISCONNECT NO. 1 CLUTCH RESERVOIR HOSE

(a) Slide the hose clip and disconnect the No. 1 clutch reservoir hose from the clutch master cylinder assembly.

HINT:

Use a container to collect the fluid.

3. DISCONNECT CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER TO FLEXIBLE HOSE TUBE

(a) Using a 10 mm union nut wrench, disconnect the clutch master cylinder to flexible hose tube from the clutch master cylinder assembly.

HINT:

Use a container to collect the fluid.

4. REMOVE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER PUSH ROD CLEVIS WITH HOLE PIN

5. REMOVE CLUTCH MASTER CYLINDER ASSEMBLY

(a) Remove the 2 nuts and clutch master cylinder assembly from the vehicle body.

(b) Remove the clutch master cylinder gasket from the clutch master cylinder assembly.
