When the following condition(s) occurs while the vehicle is in motion during cruise control, the system clears the set vehicle speed and cancels cruise control.

  1. When the vehicle running speed has fallen below the lower speed limit (approximately 30 km/h [20 mph])

When the following condition(s) occurs while the vehicle is in motion during cruise control, the system clears the set vehicle speed and cancels cruise control. Cruise control is prohibited until the ignition switch is turned off.

  1. Malfunction in SFI system

When the following condition(s) occurs while the vehicle is in motion during cruise control, there is a possibility of overloading or an overly high set vehicle speed and such. Clear the set vehicle speed and cancel cruise control (can be reset).

  1. Vehicle speed is less than set vehicle speed by approximately 16 km/h (10 mph) or more

When the following condition(s) occurs while the vehicle is in motion during cruise control, the system clears the set vehicle speed and cancels cruise control. Cruise control is prohibited until the ignition switch is turned off.

  1. Open or short in stop light switch circuit

  4. Communication malfunction between skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) and ECM

Control is prohibited until the dynamic radar cruise control system is turned off and turned on again. Also, cruise control is prohibited until system returns to normal from the following condition.

  1. The millimeter wave radar sensor assembly dirty.
  2. The forward recognition camera dirty

HINT:

It is possible that the system has entered fail-safe mode due to snow or water on the front grille.

Radar Cruise Control Unavailable See Owner's Manual

When the following condition(s) occurs while the vehicle is in motion during dynamic radar cruise control, the system clears the set vehicle speed and cancels cruise control. Control is prohibited until the dynamic radar cruise control system is turned off and turned on again. Also, cruise control is prohibited until system returns to normal from the following condition.

  1. When vehicle-to-vehicle distance measurement is extremely unstable due to bad weather
  2. Brake control by the dynamic radar cruise control system is temporarily unavailable
  3. Malfunction in the forward recognition camera or the forward recognition camera is temporarily unavailable
  4. The beam axis of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is being aligned.
