NOTICE:

If the Data List item Stop&Start Operating Permission (Power Management) is "NG" even after correcting a certain problem using the diagnostic troubleshooting procedures, the problem may be due to the auxiliary battery charge amount being temporarily low or the auxiliary battery may be deteriorated. However, there may be multiple overlapping conditions which are causing system operation to be prohibited, so make sure to always confirm all the diagnostic troubleshooting procedures.

Result

Cause

Action to be Taken

A

Integrated current value is limited for the stop and start control due to discharge or deterioration of the auxiliary battery

Check the auxiliary battery condition and recharge the auxiliary battery

B

  1. Electrical load is excessive
  2. Auxiliary battery deterioration
  3. Refresh charging was not completed properly
  1. Turn electrical load off as much as possible
  2. CHARGE OR REPLACE AUXILIARY BATTERY AFTER CHECKING AUXILIARY BATTERY STATE (refer to procedure 19)
  3. Restart the engine after waiting 30 seconds or more after stopping the engine. If refresh charging begins once more, wait until refresh charging completes while idling.
  • Initialize* the auxiliary battery integrated current using the GTS after charging the auxiliary battery, and drive the vehicle until the stop and start control operates (approximately 5 to 40 minutes).

*: Use the GTS to perform Integrated Current Value Initialization.

    HINT:

If the Data List item "Integrated Current" is 0 A-sec or higher, it is not necessary to perform initialization.

  • When the auxiliary battery state sensor assembly current value is normal, recharge or replace the auxiliary battery
  • When the electrical load is large, a large amount of electrical discharge occurs. As a result, the integrated current value (auxiliary battery charge amount) tends to drop causing operation to be prohibited.
