Jump-Starting
Jump-starting is dangerous if done incorrectly. So follow the procedure
carefully. If you feel unsure about jump-starting, we strongly recommend that
you have a competent service technician do the work...
If the engine fails to start, it may be flooded (excessive fuel in
the engine).
Follow this procedure:
If the engine does not start within 5 seconds on the first try, wait 10
seconds and try again...

Manual transaxle:
Shift into neutral and set the parking brake.
Automatic transaxle:
Shift the selector lever to the P position and set the parking brake.
Press the push button start to turn off the engine. The ignition position is
off.
