DISASSEMBLY

HINT:
- Use the same procedure for the RH side and LH side.
- The following procedure is for the LH side.
PROCEDURE
1. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR

2. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR COVER

3. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR LOWER COVER
| (a) Remove the screw. |

(b) Disengage the claws to remove the outer mirror lower cover.
4. REMOVE SIDE TURN SIGNAL LIGHT ASSEMBLY

5. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR HOLE COVER
| (a) Using a screwdriver with its tip wrapped in protective tape, disengage the claws to remove the outer mirror hole cover. |

6. REMOVE OUTER MIRROR RETRACTOR
| (a) Remove the vinyl tape. |
|
| (b) Cut off the wire harness at the position as shown in the illustration. |
|
| (c) Disengage the guides to remove the gasket. |
|
| (d) Remove the 3 screws and base. |
|
| (e) Remove the 3 screws. |
|
(f) Disengage the guide to remove the power unit assembly.
| (g) Disconnect the connector. |
|
| (h) Remove the 3 screws and outer mirror retractor. |
|
| (i) Disconnect the connector to remove the wire harness from the outer mirror retractor. |

Turning the Engine Off
Stop the vehicle completely. Manual transaxle: Shift into neutral and set the parking brake.Automatic transaxle: Shift the selector lever to the P position and set the parking brake.
