This non-intrusive functional inspection can be very useful because intermittent operation may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed. HINT:

To protect this Actuator and Solenoid, this test will only last 5 seconds.

Check that the stop light switch assembly (STPO terminal output) turns ON when the brake pedal is released, the stop lights illuminate, and the "stop light relay" and "STPO" Data List items switch to ON.
