On-vehicle Inspection
ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION
PROCEDURE
1. INSPECT WINDSHIELD WIPER RELAY
(a) Check the operation of the windshield wiper relay.
| (1) Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below. Standard Resistance: | Tester Connection | Condition | Specified Condition | | 3 - 5 | Auxiliary battery voltage not applied between terminals 1 and 2 | 10 kΩ or higher | | Auxiliary battery voltage applied between terminals 1 and 2 | Below 1 Ω | If the result is not as specified, replace the windshield wiper relay. |
| | *a | Component without harness connected (Windshield Wiper Relay) | | |
INSTALLATION PROCEDURE 1. INSTALL RAIN SENSOR TAPE HINT:
Only perform this procedure when replacing the rain sensor tape.

DATA LIST / ACTIVE TEST DATA LIST HINT: Using the GTS to read the Data List allows the values or states of switches, sensors, actuators and other items to be read without removing any parts. This non-intrusive inspection can be very useful because intermittent conditions or signals may be discovered before parts or wiring is disturbed...

The front seat belt pretensioners are designed to deploy in moderate or
severe frontal, near frontal collisions.
In addition, the pretensioners operate when a side collision or a rollover
accident is detected. The pretensioners operate differently
depending on what types of air bags are equipped. For more details
about the seat belt pretensioner operation, refer to the SRS Air Bag
Deployment Criteria.
