Front Radar Sensor Optical Axis Not Adjusted

History of millimeter wave radar sensor assembly beam axis not being adjusted.

  1. Using the GTS, check "Optical Axis Not Adjusted Status" in the Data List for Front Radar Sensor.

  2. If the value of "Optical Axis Not Adjusted Status" is Not Complete, perform beam axis alignment of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.

    HINT:

Beam axis alignment of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly can be performed using either Triangle Target, Flat Surface Target or Driving Adjustment.

X2024

Front Radar Sensor Temporary Unavailable (Vertical Direction Optical Axis Misalignment)

History of millimeter wave radar sensor assembly beam axis misalignment (vertical).

  1. Perform millimeter wave radar sensor assembly beam axis alignment.

    HINT:

Beam axis alignment of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly can be performed using either Triangle Target, Flat Surface Target or Driving Adjustment.

    Triangle Target: Click here

    Flat Surface Target: Click here

    Driving Adjustment: Click here

  2. Turn the ignition switch off.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
  4. Check that "Pre-Collision System Radar In Self Calibration Unavailable See Owner's Manual" is not displayed on the multi-information display.
Cause:
  • A determination was made that millimeter wave radar sensor assembly vertical axis was misaligned.

Pre-Collision System Radar Sensor Blocked Unavailable Clean Radar Sensor

Front Radar Sensor Dirt

History of system operation being temporarily suspended due to millimeter wave radar sensor assembly not being able to detect objects.

  1. Check whether the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly and surrounding area is dirty or obstructed by foreign matter
    • A non-genuine millimeter wave sensor cover is installed
    • There is dirt on the radar, the radar sensor cover or the surrounding area
    • An accessory, such as bull bars, a grille guard, etc., which interferes with millimeter radio waves is installed
    • The sensor cover or its surrounding area has been painted or has a sticker attached
    • There is foreign matter between the radar and radar sensor cover
  2. Clean away any dirt or foreign matter that is adhering to the area around the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.
  3. Turn the ignition switch off.
  4. Start the engine and drive the vehicle for 5 minutes or more.
  5. Check whether "Pre-Collision System Radar Sensor Blocked Unavailable Clean Radar Sensor" is displayed on the multi-information display.
  6. If the message is still displayed, perform beam axis alignment of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.

    HINT:

Beam axis alignment of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly can be performed using either Triangle Target, Flat Surface Target or Driving Adjustment.

    Triangle Target: Click here

    Flat Surface Target: Click here

    Driving Adjustment: Click here

Cause:
  • The millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is dirty or obstructed by foreign matter.

Pre-Collision System Out of Temperature Range Unavailable See Owner's Manual

X2027

Front Radar Sensor Outside Guaranteed Operating Temperature

History of system operation being temporarily suspended due to the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly being excessively hot or cold.

  1. Using the GTS, check "Millimeter-wave Circuit Temperature Protection" in the Data List for Front Radar Sensor.

  2. If the value of "Millimeter-wave Circuit Temperature Protection" is ON, warm or cool the area around the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.
Cause:
  • The following millimeter wave radar sensor assembly conditions are met:
    • After being subjected to an extremely cold environment, the area around the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is -30°C (-22°F) or less.
    • After being subjected to an extremely hot environment, the area around the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is 70°C (158°F) or more.

Pre-Collision System Unavailable See Owner's Manual

X2028

Front Radar Sensor Outside Guaranteed Operating Voltage

History of system operation being temporarily suspended due to millimeter wave radar sensor assembly power source voltage being excessively high or low.

  1. Using the GTS, check "IG Voltage Protection" in the Data List for Front Radar Sensor.

  2. If the value of "IG Voltage Protection" is ON, check if the voltage between terminals IGB and SGND of the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is within the specified range.

  3. As power for the millimeter wave radar sensor assembly is supplied by the start and stop system, confirm that the start and stop system is not malfunctioning.

Cause:
  • The following millimeter wave radar sensor assembly conditions are met:
    • The input voltage decreases to approximately 8 V or less directly after the engine is starts.
    • The input voltage increases to approximately 16 V or more directly after the engine is starts.

Pre-Collision System Unavailable See Owner's Manual

X202B

Front Radar Sensor Temporary Unavailable (Radio Wave Interference)

Stored when determination made for temporary suspension of system operation due to millimeter wave radar sensor assembly detecting interference from other nearby radar emitters.

Move the vehicle to a different location until "Pre-Collision System Unavailable See Owner's Manual" disappears from the multi-information display.

Cause:
  • Determination was made for temporary suspension of system operation due to millimeter wave radar sensor assembly detecting interference from other nearby radar emitters.

HINT:

If the system does not return to normal even after moving the vehicle to a different location, there may be a problem with the steering center position. Inspect the steering system components for incorrect installation, deformation, or damage, and perform calibration or replace components as necessary.
