PROCEDURE
1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

3. DRAIN MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL
| (a) Remove the manual transmission filler plug and gasket. | |
| (b) Remove the manual transmission drain plug and gasket to drain the manual transaxle oil. | |
(c) Install a new gasket and the manual transmission drain plug.
Torque:
39.2 N·m {400 kgf·cm, 29 ft·lbf}
4. ADD MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL
| (a) Add manual transaxle oil until the oil level is between 0 and 5 mm (0.197 in.) from the bottom lip of the manual transmission filler plug opening. Manual Transaxle Oil: "Toyota Genuine Manual Transmission Gear Oil LV GL-4 75W" or equivalent Standard Capacity: w/ LSD 2.0 liters (2.1 US qts, 1.8 Imp. qts) w/o LSD 2.1 liters (2.2 US qts, 1.8 Imp. qts) NOTICE: Using manual transaxle oil other than the specified oil may cause abnormal noise or vibration, or damage the transfer of your vehicle. |

| (b) Install a new gasket and the manual transmission filler plug. Torque: 39.2 N·m {400 kgf·cm, 29 ft·lbf} NOTICE: -
When adding manual transaxle oil, make sure that the vehicle is level.

An excessively large or small amount of manual transaxle oil may cause problems.

After adding manual transaxle oil, drive the vehicle and recheck the oil level.
