PROCEDURE
1. REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY

2. REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER LH

3. DRAIN MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL
| (a) Remove the manual transmission filler plug and gasket. |
|
| (b) Remove the manual transmission drain plug and gasket to drain the manual transaxle oil. |
|
(c) Install a new gasket and the manual transmission drain plug.
Torque:
39.2 N·m {400 kgf·cm, 29 ft·lbf}
4. ADD MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL
| (a) Add manual transaxle oil until the oil level is between 0 and 5 mm (0.197 in.) from the bottom lip of the manual transmission filler plug opening. Manual Transaxle Oil: "Toyota Genuine Manual Transmission Gear Oil LV GL-4 75W" or equivalent Standard Capacity: w/ LSD 2.0 liters (2.1 US qts, 1.8 Imp. qts) w/o LSD 2.1 liters (2.2 US qts, 1.8 Imp. qts) NOTICE: Using manual transaxle oil other than the specified oil may cause abnormal noise or vibration, or damage the transfer of your vehicle. |

| (b) Install a new gasket and the manual transmission filler plug. Torque: 39.2 N·m {400 kgf·cm, 29 ft·lbf} NOTICE:

5. INSPECT FOR MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL LEAK
6. INSTALL ENGINE UNDER COVER LH
