Toyota Yaris: Vehicle Stability Control System / Yaw Rate Sensor Signal Bias Level Out of Range / Zero Adjustment Failure (C006328,C006396)
DESCRIPTION
These DTCs are stored when the skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly) receives an internal malfunction signal from the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly).
DTC No. | Detection Item | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area | DTC Output from |
C006328 | Yaw Rate Sensor Signal Bias Level Out of Range / Zero Adjustment Failure | With the vehicle stationary, the yaw rate sensor output value is not 0°/s. | Yaw rate sensor (airbag sensor assembly) | Brake |
C006396 | Yaw Rate Sensor Component Internal Failure | With the +BS terminal voltage between 9.5 and 17.4 V, a data malfunction signal is received from a yaw rate sensor. | Yaw rate sensor (airbag sensor assembly) | Brake |
CAUTION / NOTICE / HINT
NOTICE:
If the yaw rate and acceleration sensor (airbag sensor assembly) was replaced or reinstalled, perform "Calibration".

Other information:
DESCRIPTION The automatic light control sensor detects ambient light. The sensor creates an electrical signal based on the amount of light detected, and sends the signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU). The main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) turns on or off the headlights and taillights according to the signal...
DESCRIPTION Wireless Transmitter-linked Function
When a key switch is pushed: 1) the door control receiver receives the wireless door lock signal; 2) the door control receiver sends a signal to the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) through the certification ECU (smart key ECU assembly); 3) the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) sends the operation permission signal to the power window regulator motor assemblies; and 4) the power window regulator motor assemblies are activated...
